My wife and I were traveling to church this morning. On our way we had to stop and put gas in the car. As my wife paid for the gas, the lady behind the counter in the store slipped a note to my wife.
When my wife got back in the car she opened the note. My wife said that the note contained the lady’s name and it was a request by the lady behind the counter to pray for her and her children. She also left a phone number on the note. We can only imagine what her urgent need must be to ask almost total strangers to pray for her and her children. She barely knows us. We prayed for her as we continued down the road.
I encourage you as a Christian that we must be strong in the faith, to with stand the trials and temptations we may be faced with and as it says in II Tim.4: 2 KJV “…be instant in season, out of season…” The same verse in the NLT says, “ Be persistent whether the time is favorable or not.” The reason why all of the above is important is because someone down the road may need to be able to trust you to pray for them, help them and encourage them at any given moment.
In Romans 12: 13 NLT, “ When God’s children are in need, be the one to help them…”
